The IFPS range of cable entry seals prevent fire penetration using an intumescent (foaming) expandable graphite sealant on the back of the entry plate which increases in volume in the event of a fire. This creates a barrier which prevents a penetration of flames and high heat from one enclosure into another area for the longest time possible. Current regulations require cable ties to withstand fire and safely secure cables in an evacuation route, ruling out the use of nylon ties. The self-locking ball head design speeds installation and locks into place at any length along the tie. The enclosed head does not allow dirt or grit to interfere with the locking mechanism.
