TFT LCD Switch
- The TFT128 ScreenKey is a push-button keyswitch with built-in full-colour high resolution TFT graphics display. The display is backlit with a white LED and the TFT liquid crystal display has a resolution of 128*128 pixels where each pixel colour can be chosen from a palette of 65,536 different colours. The ScreenKey is an intelligent device with an onboard microcontroller and graphical display controller. The ScreenKey fully implements a 4-wire SPI interface with an expanded command set allowing simple ASCII control or full bitmap graphic display, or any combination of the two. The key supports downloadable content and is designed to minimize the bandwidth requirements from a host controller, particularly when used in a multi-ScreenKey environment. The key clicks into place without soldering for simple assembly and easy field replacement. A flex-tail cable is used to make connection to the target electronics via a PCB connector (a range of FPC connectors are compatible).
LCD switch
- RGB Series ScreenKeys are programmable LCD key switches with Red, Green and Blue (RGB) LED Backlighting mounted on a push button mechanism.
- RGB ScreenKeys use 4 Red, 4 Green and 4 Blue LEDs in each key (one red, green and blue LED per corner) to achieve the most uniform backlight illumination in the marketplace. Each RGB LED colour can operate at full or half brightness.
- RGB ScreenKeys are offered with two different LCD resolutions:
- 32 x 16 pixels (RGB16) for fast changing graphics and text where immediate operator recognition is a primary requirement
36 x 24 pixels (RGB24) higher resolution where finer graphics detail & more text options are preferred (4 lines of text may be displayed)
- The RGB Series ScreenKeys are available with either a Soft-Touch or Tactile feedback switch mechanism. The Soft-Touch switch mechanism offers a key switch lifetime of >1 million key switch operations.
