FCT D-Sub Standard - connectors are available in different combinations of materials and platings. For example, shells can be supplied of steel, brass (non - magnetic version) or stainless steel. Conductive platings used against corrosion are RoHS compliant. Heat resistant FRPs ensure 260 °C soldering temperature for 10 s. Contact - terminations are solder pot AWG 20, straight and right angled PCB and wire-wrap.
You can choose between standard and customized parts. A comprehensive range of accessories like hoods, slide locks us available. Pin connectors are shielded with dimples.
SMT

The SMT-series is available in right angle mounting height 3,7 mm and 7,3 mm. Alternatively grounding device with ø 3,1 mm, inner thread or threaded spacer (4-40 UNC or M3) can be used. The stamped contacts are selectively gold plated over nickel in the mating area and pretinned over nickel in the soldering area. The connectors are usually not stamped, as they are normally delivered in blister tapes on reels which are labelled.
Good feasibility to inspect contact termination because of good visibility. High retention force due to large solder area of grounding device. Pin connectors are shielded with dimples.
THT

The THT series consists of LCP-insulators and is suitable for leadfree reflow-soldering. ´Grounding device with inner thread or threaded spacer (4-40 or M3) can be used. The stamped contacts are selectively gold plated over nickel in the mating area, in the performance classes according to DIN 41652, and pretinned over nickel in the solder area. Normally the connectors are delivered in blister tape.

Crimp

The D-Sub crimp series (FU/FL) is available with and without turned contacts. Alternatively there are stamped contacts, entry from right or left side with turn round in a crimp machine. The wire size for crimp-contacts ranges from AWG 28 to 20. Hand crimp tools and insertion/removal tools can be supplied separately. FU connectors are fitted with an insulator for higher contact retention strength and improved heat resistance.They are supplied with a plastic spring contact retention system for signal contacts.
Various platings can be manufactured. Pin connectors are shielded with dimples.
D-Sub IDC Ribbon

This series is equiped with IDC contacts to assemble ribbon cables with AWG 28. The stamped contacts are selectively gold plated over nickel in the mating area. The connectors are also available with strain relief. Alternatively standard ø 3,1 mm, inner thread or threaded spacer (4-40 UNC or M3) can be used.
Other platings can be manufatured on request. Low assembly costs as all contacts are connected at once. Pin connectors are shielded with dimples.
Dualport

This D-Sub dualport series is available with stamped contacts. Standard ø 3,1 mm, inner thread or threaded spacer (4-40 or M3) can be used.
There are also four mounting heights (L/M/S/E) available. Optionally the dualport-connector can be mounted with a contact
cover.
Four harpoons ensure a mechanical and conductive electrical connection between the connector and the PCB. Current rating at room temperature: 5 A

Waterproof

Standard:
This configuration includes straight and angled terminations in several lengths and is available in the sizes with 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 pin- or socket-contacts.

Mixed Layout:
This configuration includes every contact arrangement and can be loaded with high power-, coaxial- and high-voltage-contacts. Depending on the application several termination types can be choosed like solder pot-, straight- and angled-PCB-termination.
HighDensity:
This application includes a significant high number of contacts (15, 26, 44, 62 and 78). The outer dimensions are the same as the standard configuration.
Right angled adapter

his series is a very robust 90° adapter hood for narrow installation conditions. Both standard D-Sub- and High Density-connectors can be used. It is possible to make a contact transfer from pin device side to socket termination side and vice versa.
The angle direction can be selected depending on the application.
